Property - We are living on a property 3.5 hours north of Perth. The owners are Christians & it really is a miracle that we found the property...and that they were willing for us to come & stay while we work out the legalities. The property is over 1000 acres & is further out than we hoped but felt that God wanted us here - at least for now. The property has a caviat (agreement not to clear) that we are going to apply to have amended so we can clear sections for buildings, caravans etc. If we can not get this approval we will have to look elsewhere. Please pray for His will as a lot of work has gone into this property already - but if He wants us somewhere else it is all worthless!

Preparing - We are now living in a couple of caravans on the edge of the property. It took about 3 months with a truck to move everything up here. We are 4kms from the farmers house - in a fire break literally in the middle of teh bush. THere was nothing here at all. We have been living here for about 8 months & there has been many, many trials! We have a number of caravans, solid annex & a large bus that we are using as a 'house'. The bathroom is a garden shed with a shower base & a shower through the wall. Sounds primitive but better than the BBQ & tin that we had bucket showers in for the first few months! (that was cold I'm telling you:0 ). We had been there about 4 months digging holes when finally (on Christmas day) we could first use a toilet that we bought & installed. We are using water from the farmers tank 4 kms away (ran poly pipe while the first couple of months we had to cart water) with a small tank near our setup. We have solar power - but only very limited so no fans / air cond at all & in summer the fridge has trouble so we need to start the geny. The power runs a small pump so we have running water & lighting now too. We have about 1/4 acre of vegie patch that we have put cow, chicken & sheep poop in & grow vegies & a few fruit trees. We have 7 chooks (1 taken by a fox, 2 by dogs) and a young dog (Zac who has kept the foxes at bay lately!) and unlimited roos, emus and rabbits! We have put up a number of small sheds for storage, a carport to work on the cars and cvarious other make-shift structures to house the workings of the 'house'. ie a caravan is the office, a carport has been turned into a laundry, the back of a truck tray (upside down) forms the dog kennel and the bus (when we can afford a stove etc) will be teh kirchen & dining room.

Purchased - We have been so blessed! Most of the above has come for free or at least very cheap. In fact only a handful of things we had to buy new - and of those most at trade price. Most of the items are secondhand to save in the initial outlay. The favor of God has allowed us to buy some of the below at 1/10th the price of new. Some has needed repair but is well worth the price of repair...Other items involved days of hard work but very little outlay (some only labour / tools / transport) due to people's generosity. Purchasing - There are many items & structure we still need to purchase - some more urgent than others. If you have for sale or want to donate anything that may be used in this venture please do not hesitate to contact us! One mans trash is anothers treasure!! Perusing - We don't know as of yet who God has for a team to join us in this venture. People to pray, People to work, People to serve - the team needs to be drawn together by God for His purpose. We mention some of our plans to people at different times, though we are cautious to avoid 'selling' the idea to people - it needs to be His Spirit that draws people not our ideas & enthusiasm...There are already some who feel led to support through prayer behind the scenes - to you all we thanks you from the bottom of our hearts. The going has been very tough & we know without doubt we would not be here without His help, activated by your prayers. Please don't stop! | |

Prayer - Please pray for his continued guidance at all times! Also we are running into people that we are able to minister to, and have started being part of a kids service in a nearby town (Three Springs approx 65kms away). Go dis doing stuff & there are non-Christian families coming now so please pray that He moves in their lives. We will only be more specific about prayer requests that are personal (either for us or others) if we know you - but He knows who they are you don't nec. need names / situations to be effective in prayer! Obviously pray that He uses us to show the truth to people & that He uses us to set people free. If we are faithful in putting His Kingdom firsth He will provide :) | |

Pennies - A kind financor has applied for a loan for the property once available. We will rent the property off them until we are in a financial position to purchase it. The finance is ready & waiting for the correct property. For our own financial survival we are running a small business from home involving web sales of different items and some eBay sales. All money from the sale of personal artifacts & household items is being put into the most urgent things needed.. | |
